Creme et Courant

Crème et Courant is a sculptural shelving installation, designed for Batter Bar, a French patisserie café in Chandigarh. The piece is an exploration of soft cubism, where function, form, and flavor-inspired aesthetics converge. Composed of CNC-routed layers, the sculpture features lilac-toned fronts and one side, contrasted by an olive green reveal on the reverse, creating a dynamic tension between softness and structure. Its silhouette undulates gently across the wall, recalling the motion of batter being folded or cream being swirled—slow, intentional, and rhythmic. The central void offers a moment of stillness within the flow, adding both spatial depth and functional utility.
